RCCG Brooklyn – ICB

Meet Our Pastors

Pastors K and F2Our new pastor, Pastor Kunle Omotoso took office as pastor in charge of ICB on Jan 9th, 2011. He is assisted by his wife Pastor Adepeju Omotoso. Prior to relocating to New York, they served in various capacities both in Abuja and Port Harcourt, Nigeria. Their call to ministry dates back to October 1997 when they were posted to their first parish in a sub-urban part of Abuja, called Karu. The Church that never grew beyond 50 parishioners since its inception suddenly began to attract foreign diplomats, top government officials and began recording attendances of about 800 worshippers in its services within 3 years. From there, they were transferred to the Provincial Headquarter Church, Central Parish Abuja. They served there for about 3 years and brought sweeping transformations not only to the church but to the city of Abuja by their style of Leadership. They were posted again from here to the Desire of Nations Parish also in Abuja. They served here for about 5 years and rose to become Zonal Pastors. It was from this position that they were moved to the oil city of Port Harcourt where they served for only 2 years before their relocation to New York in Jan 2011.

Under their leadership the various churches where they served recorded unprecedented growth and developments. The Central Parish and the Desire of Nations were ranked among the top ten parishes of the RCCG worldwide with services drawing an attendance of about 3000 people.

Pastor Kunle Omotoso is a committed Evangelist and Soul winner. While in Abuja he spearheaded major city-wide crusades for the purpose of drawing men into God’s Kingdom. Most significant of these are the Turning Point crusade at the Eagle Square in 2001 and the Leap of Destiny also at the same venue in 2008. Attendance at each event was about 10,000 people.

He is a seasoned teacher of the word and a much sought after speaker with a prophetic unction. He initiated and still coordinates the School of Prayer Healing and Deliverance (P.H.D). Through this School Pastor Omotoso and his team have brought revival to various churches in different parts of the world and have helped many to receive their healings and deliverances. Together with his wife they are well travelled, taking the Gospel of Jesus to the continent of Europe, nations in Africa, Singapore, the Caribbean, and the United States of America.

He also served for about 4 years as the National Director of Programs, coordinating and planning all activities and programs for the Youth Ministry of the RCCG in Nigeria.

He is a prolific writer and he has authored several books and journals. Notable amongst them are ‘Goliath has Children’,’ The Chosen Rod’, ‘As a Man Thinks, Speaks, and Acts so is he’. He also ministers to a wide audience in Nigeria through a monthly Christian magazine he created called Thank You Jesus. Ten Thousand copies of this 16 page journal are produced monthly and circulated free all over Nigeria.

In his evangelistic journey around the world, he is confronted by a strong need for faster spread of the Gospel, particularly in Palaces, Government Houses, and board rooms of various establishments. He is convinced that the solutions to the myriad of problems in the world today can only come from the creator through His word and not from the created. He believes that if the Church can bring our world leaders, Ceos of business empires, teachers and professionals, and Heads of families to the saving power of our Lord Jesus, we will be able to evangelize the world faster and also make the world a better and more peaceful place to live. It is his belief that the bottom-up approach of the church in viewing world evangelism will be more effective if a top-down approach is adopted; meaning that if you reach the top echelon of society, you can then take the world for the Kingdom. It was this burden that led him to start the establishment of RCCG International Centers in major cities of the world to reach and raise leaders for the good of our societies. Through the International Centers, people from different nationality will comfortably worship together in an environment of excellence and love. Before coming to the United States of America, he had successfully planted 2 International centers in Abuja and Port Harcourt, Nigeria.

Pastor Kunle believes that his posting to ICB at this time is a further confirmation of this vision by God. Through the ICB located in the city of New York, unarguably the commercial centre of the world this desire to bring Jesus to every home and person will be better accomplished here.

Pastor (Mrs) Adepeju Felicia Omotoso, his major supporter and confidant oversees a number of their ministry initiatives. Through her selfless commitment they started an Orphanage for abandoned children while they served in Abuja. She also started and supervised the Primary School project of their Church. This School grew to over 300 children within 4 years of its inception. She also at a time managed a Christian Resource centre belonging to the Family. It grew to be the largest source of Christian Literature in Abuja at that time. She is an ardent soul winner and a woman of prayer. She is presently pursuing a post graduate degree in Education Psychology.
